Situation: Sungrow needed to increase the consistency and quality of their custom blended soil amenities and fertilizers being produced in multiple factories across the United States.

Mission: MEMCO was asked to evaluate the Sungro batching process and design a precise line control solution to
correctly meter out and mix the variety of custom ingredients.

Execution: MEMCO transformed the Sungro Excel spreadsheet system into a computerized and automated control
program which transferred the tribal knowledge from a few Sungro Front Line Team Members into a sustainable system
which would deliver a consistent product to the entire market. MEMCO also evolved the mixing process from batch to
continuous via a custom-designed conveyor Line Control System.

Result: Customer complaints were virtually eliminated by the enhanced quality of the blends MEMCO’s solution
unlocked. Furthermore, the Line Control System increased throughput by 30%.
